Competitive Events

*Please set up the wet sterilizer for all competitions.
*You may use lighting equipment, but please bring the electrical transformer by yourself.
*Event organizer could NOT accommodate any kind of materials you bring.
*Only one electric power source will be provided for Nail Care and French Sculpture competitors and two electric power sources will be provided for Natural Gel Design competitor.
*Please do NOT touch the model’s nails during judging time.


V1、N1：Nail Care
Basic technique to keep well-proportioned nail and beautiful finger
（coloring is natural french look）
Commendation
(each department of
veteran and novice)		 a champion〜fifth place…Presenting Luxurious Cup ※Presenting memorial plates to all of participants
Competition time 51 minutes (20 minutes for Nail Care and 30 minutes for Natural French Look Coloring with 1 minute interval)
Specification Full set must be completed starting from disinfection and to polish application.
Specific Rules
  1. Must set the table in a sanitary manner.
  2. The base should be natural nail.
  3. Model’s nails can be extended or repaired with acrylic, gel and glue and they must resemble other natural nails.Point-deduction will be given if you prepare “virtual nail” before competition.
  4. The model’s natural nails should NOT be cleaned for a week prior to the competition.
  5. Nothing should be applied to model’s nails at the beginning of competition.
  6. Nail Care in first half and Coloring in last half must start from disinfecting hands and fingers.
  7. Emery board must be used for filing natural nails.
  8. Cut style is Round.
  9. Buffer allowed (shiny buffer may be used for finishing touch).
  10. Coloring must be done from base coat to top coat. Point-deduction will be given without top coat.
  11. Ridge filler allowed.
  12. Must use Natural Skin Color (creamy pink or beige color similar to skin tone. NO pearl or glitter allowed) and the nail plate should not be seen through.
  13. The polish must be coated twice.
  14. White polish must be used for free edge (use creamy white color. NO pearl or glitter allowed) When making smile line, you should consider the total balance of nails.
  15. The underside and/or edge of nail should be coated.
  16. ONLY 3 polishes are allowed to use for these each processes; base coat, base color, French color (white) and top coat.
  17. Point-deduction will be given if you do coloring in first half of competition time for Nail Care.
  18. Point-deduction will be given if you touch the model’s nail and finger during interval of time.
Banned Goods Chamois buffer, Oil (including fast-dry spray), Machine, Polish with pearl and lame
Note Please bring hot water by yourself.
V2、N2：French Sculpture
A classic technique of extension
Commendation
(Each Department of
veteran and novice)		 a champion〜fifth place…Presenting Luxurious Cup ※Presenting memorial plates to all of participants
Competition time Veteran: 120 minutes Novice: 150 minutes.
Specification A full set (2 hands) must be completed with French-style sculpture.
Specific Rules
  1. Must set the table in a sanitary manner.
  2. Must start from disinfecting hands and fingers. Point-deduction will be given if you do preparation prior to the competition.
  3. Must start from NO extension (including virtual), NO coloring and NO decoration.
  4. Cut style is Square.
  5. The length of free edge should be beautifully balanced with consideration of the length of nail bed.
  6. The materials must be chemical polymerized.
  7. White, sheer pink, and clear powders may be used.
  8. C-curve stick may be used but must use hands to pinch.
  9. Buffer is allowed (shine buffer may be used for finishing touch).
  10. Making “virtual nail” during the competition will be disqualified.
Banned Goods Chamois buffer, Oil, Cream, Lotion, Machine, Ridge filler, Base coat, Polish, Top coat, Glue, and Stationeries (ex. ruler, scotch tape and stapler).
V3、N3：Natural Nail Gel Design
Art technique designing with gel on natural nail
Commendation

Competition time 60 minutes(both V3 Veteran and N3 Novice)
Specification
  1. A full set (2 hands) must be completed with designs by gel.
  2. The design theme is “Sunset”
Specific Rules
  1. Must set the table in a sanitary manner. All gel products should be kept in the containers at this moment.
  2. The base should be natural nail.
  3. Model’s nails can be extended or repaired with acrylic, gel and glue and they must resemble other natural nails.
  4. Model’s natural nails should be nail cared prior to the competition, but the sanding must be done during the competition.Point-deduction will be given if you done the sanding before the competition.
  5. Cut style is Free and should be prepared before the competition. But the length of free edge should be 5 mm.
  6. Must start from disinfecting hands and fingers.
  7. The materials must be light-polymerized. Any color is allowed. Both soft gel and hard gel are allowed.
  8. Glitter, lame and hologram are allowed (Point-deduction will be given if you use emboss).
  9. All designs must be made by using brush (Point-deduction will be given if you use emboss).
  10. Must start from the base gel and finish with the top gel. Uncured gel will be in disqualification.
  11. Only one gel lamp is allowed for each competitor.
  12. Point-deduction will be given if you paint with the acrylic colors.
  13. Must use spatula to mix gel.
  14. Point-deduction will be given if you bring the references for designing.
Banned Goods Rhinestone, Art seal, Color liquid, Machine, Oil, Cream, Lotion, Ridge filler, Polish, Pocket warmer, Toothpicks and wood/bamboo sticks for mixing gel.
F4：Self Art Contest（Free Department）
Applying nail art freely on your one hand
Commendation a champion〜fifth place…Presenting luxurious cup ※Presenting memorial plates to all of participants
Competition time 40 minutes
Specification
  1. A half set (1 hand) must be completed with any kind of art (Choice of a hand is yours)
  2. Combination of techniques including polish, gel, acrylic, illustration and etc. are free choices.
  3. The design theme is “Sunset”
Specific Rules
  1. Must set the table in a sanitary manner.
  2. Must start from disinfecting hands and fingers. Preparation is allowed.
  3. The base could be either natural nail or enhanced with sculpture, gel, tip over ray and etc.
  4. Cut style and the length of free edge are free choices.
  5. Must start from NO decoration on the nails.
  6. Combination of techniques including polish, gel, acrylic, illustration and etc. are free choices. The materials must be chemical polymerized.
  7. Glitter, lame, hologram, rhinestone, and shell are all allowed for decorative purposes.
  8. Buffer is allowed (shine buffer may be used for finishing touch).
  9. Only one gel lamp is allowed for each competitor.
Banned Goods Air brush, Art seal, Color tip, Design tip, Oil, Cream, Lotion, Pocket warmer, Toothpicks and wood/bamboo sticks for mixing gel, and Stationeries (ex. ruler, scotch tape and stapler).
